teletherapy
Online therapy (also called “teletherapy”) allows us to meet from the comfort of your own home, office, or other location. It’s perfect for people who need more flexibility in their scheduling options. You won’t have to deal with rushing to make appointments and sitting in heavy traffic. It might be easier for you to open up in therapy when you’re in a familiar and comfortable environment such as your home. In fact, many of my clients meet with me during their lunch hour. I’m licensed to practice teletherapy in NYC, as well as the rest of the state of New York, and also in Florida. If you need teletherapy in these areas, I can help you -- Just contact me.
Our sessions will be conducted by video, similar to Skype or FaceTime, but through a secure, HIPAA compliant, and encrypted platform. This ensures that our conversations are kept private and confidential. All you need is a smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer with a webcam as well as a high speed internet connection. If you prefer, telephone sessions are available too. It might feel a little awkward in the beginning, especially during our first session. You might feel a little nervous. But my clients report that by the end of the first session, they feel completely comfortable with it.
online therapy is ideal if:
You live in a remote location
You are taking care of young children or have other family commitments
You have a very busy schedule and cannot commute to a therapy office
You cannot travel due to health constraints
You feel more comfortable in your home environment
If you reside in Florida or New York, I can help you with teletherapy in NYC, as well as the rest of New York and Florida.
